The Strings Club launches
This summer, Islington’s aspiring young musicians can experience a new music programme right on their doorstep.
Starting this May half term and taking place throughout the summer holidays, The Strings Club is offering bespoke programmes for children with all levels of music experience.
Established by violinist and teacher, Amy Cunningham, The Strings Club is a music education company, offering children aged 4-11 a range of high-quality musical experiences, specifically centred around stringed instruments including ukulele, violin, guitar and cello.
Amy says: “We are so excited to be moving to Islington. The area has a rich and varied history of music – from fantastic orchestras to chart toppers and an X Factor winner! I set up The Strings Club to encourage children to get involved in and to play music and I am excited to have the chance to inspire the next generation of musicians that live in the Islington area!”
Try out two instruments for free at special Discovery Days
To celebrate their arrival in the borough, The Strings Club is running two free Discovery Days at Hugh Myddleton Primary on Saturday 27 May and Saturday 22 July from 10.30am to 12 noon.
