Become a Breastfeeding Helper
Would you like to support other mothers in your community? Have you breastfed a baby for three months or more?
The Islington Breastfeeding & Weaning Peer Support Service is running a free course in 2018 for local mothers to train as breastfeeding peer supporters.
The course will run from 7 February until 23 May 2018, every Wednesday morning (except school holidays) from 10am-12 noon at Bemerton Children’s Centre, N1 (free crèche available).
At the end of the course you will be expected to volunteer at an Islington drop-in group and attend monthly supervision sessions to stay registered as a Breastfeeding Helper.
The training is accredited by the Open College Network and is run by Islington Breastfeeding & Weaning Peer Support Service, provided by the Breastfeeding Network.
For more information or to sign up please get in touch with Sarah by Wednesday 24 January 2018 by email or call 020 3316 8439.
