Calling all mums, dads and carers who live in Islington would you like to be part of a new, exciting and rewarding opportunity?

Bright Start Islington is looking for Parent Champions who like talking to other parents and would be available to volunteer for two to three hours a week. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, read on…

What will Parent Champions do?
Be part of a new, exciting and rewarding opportunity
Talk to parents and give them important information about childcare and healthy living
Get involved in their local area/community
Share their experiences, help and encourage other parents to use services and activities
Help shape Bright Start Islington services for families with children under 5

Who is the role open to?
Parents and/or carers who live in Islington
Have a child or children aged under 5
Use children’s centres and other Bright Start services
Who like talking to other parents
Are available 2 to 3 hours a week to volunteer

Provided in this role:
Flexibility to fit volunteering around your daily routine
Accredited Level 1 training course in volunteering (six sessions)
Crèche and travel expenses during training course
Information, ongoing support and further training opportunities
Membership of national Parent Champions network.
