Family Day: Exploring Measurement

  • 21
  • May

How long does a second last? How did we decide how far a metre is? What is the difference between light and dark?

Units of measurement are part of our everyday lives but you might not know that the ways in which we measure the world around us are changing!

Join the Institute of Physics and the National Physical Laboratory on Saturday 18 May for a day of fun, free science activities for all the family.

Explore a range of amazing mini-games and hands-on demonstrations, take part in arts and craft activities and go on a discovery trail around the Institute’s new home in Kings Cross.

Activities are suitable for children aged 5-11 but there will be plenty for the whole family to enjoy! Free snacks and refreshments will be available throughout the day.

No registration needed. For more information email or call 020 7470 4918
