Free training for local businesses
Businesses can be a force for good and make a positive impact on people, places, and the planet. If you own a local business in Islington and want to learn how you can make a positive difference to your community find out more about the free places available on the Heart of the City Foundation Programme.
This course runs over two years and focuses on practical skills such as ethical procurement, maintaining work-life balance for staff, set up corporate giving, and ensuring sustainable travel. It has popular networking events and a mentor programme to provide businesses with the support and guidance they need to thrive. You will also be part of a strong community of other local businesses that are part of the programme.
“I wish I had known about Heart of the City when I started out working in CSR years ago,” says Brooke Peterson of Source, following her completion of the Heart of the City Foundation Programme. Catherine Hodgson, of Euromonitor International agrees; “being a part of Heart of the City gives you access to a fantastic network of other CSR professionals you can seek advice from and bounce ideas off. Without the help of Heart of the City our programme wouldn’t be as advanced as it is today.”
A limited number of fully-funded, free to access places are available for qualifying companies. If you’re intrigued please register your interest here. Applications for 2019 are open and places are limited so don’t miss out!
