Congratulations to Islington’s green-fingered gardeners – our residents, tenants, community centres, local groups, businesses and schools – who were celebrated at the Islington in Bloom 2019 awards at Islington Assembly Hall on 2 September.

We’ve pulled out a few of our favourite snaps from the winners gardens, pits, plant pots, and more below. A full list of winners is at the bottom of this page. Congratulations to all the winners and the runners up – we can’t wait for next year’s competition already!

A whopping total of 669 children entered the Children’s Poster Competition

The Best Front Garden category was our most popular this year, followed by Best Container Garden

Champion of Champions, Myka Baum – St Mellitus Garden, won this award for having the highest overall score in any category!
