From Monday 7 to Sunday 13 October libraries across the UK are joining the fight against climate change and championing sustainability.

Green Libraries Week brings communities together to learn ways to be more environmentally-friendly and Islington’s libraries are getting in on the action

Energy saving advice

N4 library, 26 Blackstock Rd, Finsbury Park, London N4 2JF
Tuesday 8 October, 11am–1pm

The council’s SHINE team will be on hand to provide expert energy saving tips and advice.

No booking required, just turn up.


Volunteer to help green a library

North Library, Manor Gardens, London N7 6JX
Tuesday 8 October, 2–4pm

Islington’s library team will be brightening up the front garden of North Library with winter hanging baskets and they’re looking for willing and able volunteers to help!

No booking needed, just head down.


More energy saving advice

Central Library, 2 Fieldway Cres, London N5 1PF
Wednesday 9 October, 3–5pm

The council’s SHINE team will be there to give you money and energy saving advice and to explain how cost-effective resources can be installed at home to help you save energy.

No booking required, just turn up.
