Inclusive LGBTQ+ cooking classes

Grab a fork and take a seat for an inclusive and welcoming cooking group in Islington.

Throughout the year St Luke’s Community Centre and local LGBTQ+ charity forum+ team up to offer a social group for LGBTQ+ people and their friends to join together to learn recipes and enjoy a delicious meal.

It is a fantastic chance to meet like-minded people and support our LGBTQ+ community. But don’t just take it from us, here is what other people have said about the sessions

“I love Cooking with Pride, since I joined the first session, it’s always been a joy. I am passionate about cooking and being part of this community has enhanced my cooking skills and confidence. Cooking with Pride is more than a cooking class, it’s a safe space where you can be your whole self, experiment with cooking, socialise and have fun.”

Olga, regular participant in Cooking with Pride events.

“The Cooking with Pride events stand as a delightful testament to the extraordinary partnership between forum+ and St. Luke’s Community Centre. In every class, we not only discover the joy of cooking but also the warmth of sharing food, fostering connections that deepen our relationships and create lasting memories.”

Agnieszka Wcislo, Community Chef at St Luke’s Community Centre

“We love Cooking with Pride at St Luke’s Community Centre! Each cookery event is so much fun and a wonderful way to enhance wellbeing, reduce loneliness and celebrate our culture. At a time when many people in Islington are struggling due to the cost of living crisis it is amazing to have the opportunity to learn how to cook low budget, nutritious meals. Thank you to everyone at St Luke’s for always making us feel so welcome and for giving local LGBTQ+ people the opportunity to experience their stylish Cookery School.”

Tessa Havers-Strong, Director of forum+
