Bike rides and cycling sessions, lawn games and bike safety:  Sunday 25 May

Join the fun at the Islington Festival of Cycling on Sunday 25 May in Highbury Fields! Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just getting started, there’s something for everyone.

Enjoy two led rides organised by Cycle Islington – a relaxed family route and a longer ride linking up with neighbouring boroughs. Head over to Dr Bike for a free safety check and learn about bike marking and e-bike security with Islington Council’s community safety team. Try out all-ability cycling with Pedal Power CIC and Bikeworks, or hop on their free e-cycle taxi service for a unique side-by-side ride around the park.

There’ll also be lawn games and a 50km group ride led by the Islington Cycling Club for confident riders (starting at 9am). Feeling peckish after all that exercise? Treat yourself to delicious food from award-winning local bakery The Dusty Knuckle.

Whether you’re looking to get your bike fixed, discover accessible cycling, or just enjoy the buzz of a community cycling event, head down between 10am and 2pm and join the fun.
