Islington’s film festival is back, from Tuesday 23 April to Sunday 28 April, and will showcase 95 independent films.

Now in its fourth year, Unrestricted View Film Festival, opens with ‘Dragonflies Only Live for 24 Hours’ at The Screen on the Green at 7pm on Tuesday 23 April. The micro-budget film was shot over the course of a year, using only volunteers and follows two ambitious detectives as they stakeout a potential drugs ring.

For the first time this year, screenings will be held in Islington’s Vue Cinema, and as with previous years the Hen and Chickens Theatre will act as the core venue.

James Wren, the festival’s Creative Director, says: “Year upon year, the festival keeps getting bigger and better and this year, and really excited by the addition of the Islington Vue as a venue to showcase our magnificent slate of short films.

“We’re also hosting events and workshops throughout the week at The Hen and Chickens Theatre, so there is a lot for people to get involved in!”
