Kickstart is a great initiative that helps unemployed people aged 16 to 24 who are in receipt of universal credit to obtain a six month work placement. This is a fantastic opportunity for a young person at risk of long term unemployment to build confidence and experience and gain new skills in the workplace.

At the same time they can earn a salary and receive additional employment support and training to help them progress during and beyond their placement.

Once the placement finishes they will receive a reference and support to help them secure an apprenticeship or longer term employment. Roles are available in a wide variety of fields including hospitality, the arts, administration, marketing, IT and more.
