What’s coming up:

Book giveaways for World Book Day and World Book Night

We love matching stories with new readers. Throughout the year, we’ll be giving away books to children and adults across Islington — helping make reading accessible, joyful and part of everyday life.

The alternative bookfair

Our much-loved book fair returns with a twist: award‑winning authors, thought‑provoking talks, and a brilliant line-up of independent books. It’s the perfect place to discover new voices, meet writers and celebrate the diversity of today’s literary scene.

The Summer reading challenge

A family favourite is back! Expect new themes, fun activities and plenty of rewards to keep children reading, imagining and exploring all summer long. We can’t wait to see young readers dive into new adventures.

Easter and May half term

School holidays will be packed with free events for all ages — from storytelling sessions to hands-on arts and crafts. Bring the family sessions, bring your imagination and get stuck in.
