Winter Wellbeing in Islington
If you’re over 65, North London Cares can help you stay warm, active, healthy and connected during the winter. From October 2020 to March 2021 they can:
- Connect you to organisations who will help keep your home warm and safe, provide benefits and housing advice, and keep your bills low
- Help you to access health services and advice on where to get a flu jab
- Connect you with organisations to help with practical tasks like shopping and prescription pick-ups
- Arrange small grants and warm items for people in difficult circumstances
- Introduce you to friendly local groups and activities for fun and friendship, like North London Cares’ Social Clubs, currently held online and over the phone, and in person when safe to do so
- Introduce you to a younger local for regular phone calls, visits, conversation and friendship
- Provide advice and information on support available for those needing to self-isolate, NHS test and trace and other issues related to coronavirus
To get support or for further information please contact North London Cares on 0207 118 3838 (option 3) or email emily.groves@northlondoncares.org.uk
