Covid Safe – After Noah
After Noah’s supporting safety
After Noah has been in its Upper Street home in the Angel since 1990, selling and restoring vintage and contemporary furniture, as well as a wide range of homeware, gifts and toys.
The store is one of those venues that deserves a dedicated visit and a long browse – and they want to be sure that customers are comfortable and safe.
Simon Tarr, part-owner & general manager says:
“Covid Safe is a great initiative being run by Islington council.
“Helping support both the local business community, residents and workers returning to Islington’s vibrant retail and leisure venues.
“It’s important for everyone to feel safe, to understand what’s required to keep everything working and to know that the council are working hard to maintain and support the local community.”
Archie the resident shop-dog and squeaky toy collector could not be drawn on the subject. He indicated that we were barking up the wrong tree, and that our interview technique was a tad “ruff”.
Locally-owned businesses not only offer that personal touch, they also create more jobs in the community; often using other local businesses, including printers, accountants cafes and restaurants.
The Angel is a great place to support businesses like this. The council has teamed up with ‘My Virtual Neighbourhood’ to launch Shop Local Islington, an online directory to help residents find independent shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants, markets and service providers in the borough.
