In partnership with Islington Council and local small businesses, OurBike has been providing affordable and sustainable transportation in the form of electric cargo bikes to Exmouth Market and Caledonian Road for over a year.

Now, two new bikes have been made available to the community, hosted by Hotblack Desiato at 2-4 Highbury Park, N5 2AB, and Nourished Communities at 183 Blackstock Road, N5 2LL.

The electric cargo bikes offer a great way to transport small loads safely and quickly, and are better for the environment, too – perfect for carrying all sorts of cargo for businesses or residents, from trade equipment and deliveries to bulky shopping or passengers.

The bike is easy to park, can travel through low traffic neighbourhoods and will hold up to 100kg in the cargo box – and the electric motor will get you up the steepest hills. The fitted bench can carry two children or one adult, leaving lots of space for other things, and the rain cover will keep your cargo dry.

In Exmouth Market, the bike is hosted by Briki, (67 Exmouth Market, EC1R 4QL) where cyclists can enjoy a coffee before setting off.

On Caledonian Road, E-scooter clinic and cafe, (346 Caledonian Road, N1 1DU) is hosting another bike for Cally residents and businesses to use.

The bikes can be hired by the hour and will be available for use by any local business or resident who registers with OurBike. All new users get their first hour free – three hours, if they are a business – 75p will be charged per 15 minutes after that. For more information, or to book your free introductory session, go to the OurBike website.
