Recovery Street Film Festival
Short films, live music, stand-up comedy, and an alcohol-free after party: 27 Sep
Celebrate creativity, resilience and recovery at this powerful film festival showcasing short films made by people in recovery, and proudly sponsored by the council. Hosted by actor Jason Flemyng, the event features live music, stand-up comedy, and an alcohol-free afterparty.
Expect moving stories, community spirit, and a fresh perspective on healing through art. One of the shortlisted films captures the production of the women’s recovery mural by the Women’s Group at Better Lives, Islington’s drug and alcohol support service, which was unveiled at Cally Park in July 2025.
Taking place on Saturday 27 September, 1–5pm, at London Screen Academy in Highbury Grove, the event is free but booking is required.
