Volunteer gardening with The Garden Classroom

Discover the joy of gardening with The Garden Classroom drop-in sessions
Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just starting out, The Garden Classroom’s drop-in community gardening sessions offer a wonderful opportunity to create new friendships, learn valuable gardening skills, and transform your local green spaces while promoting biodiversity through wildlife-friendly gardens.
All are welcome and it’s free to attend – tools and refreshments will be provided. Please wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather. No need to book, just turn up!
Sessions take place 10am–12noon at the following locations:
Market Road Garden, Market Road, N7 9GR (meet inside the park by the rose bed)
Every Tuesday and Wednesday starting 9 September, finishing for a winter break on Wednesday 17 December.
Please note: there are no sessions on 28 and 29 October.
Newington Green, Newington Green Road, N16 9PX (meet by the hut on the green)
Every Wednesday starting on 10 September until 17 December. There will be one special Saturday session on the 27 September (10am–12noon) to finish the wonderful new planters and add lots of winter and spring bulbs.
Please note: there is no session on 29 October.
