Celebrate the first night of Chanukah, the Jewish festival of lights, at this annual free event on Islington Memorial Green on Sunday 22 December, 5-7pm.

Witness the ceremony of lighting the Menorah, listen to live klezmer, sing traditional songs, play dreidel, dance to the hottest Jewish tunes and marvel at spectacular light performances. There will also be hundreds of free latkes, doughnuts, Chanukah gelt and hot cocoa for everyone to tuck into!

This is the ninth time Chabad Islington hosts the Menorah Lighting at Islington Green. Last years’ celebrations attracted crowds of up to 1,000 people, bringing together Jewish and non-Jewish members of Islington community.

The Islington Menorah Lighting is supported by Islington Council and hosted by Chabad Islington. This event is free and open to all – please join with your family, friends and neighbours!
