Summer workshops for refugees, asylum seekers and migrants

Free art and textile workshops exploring food, memory and belonging through embroidery. Participants will create their own artwork with guidance from artist Aya Haidar. The group will come together to display and celebrate their work at a community festival in September.

Food and drinks will be provided at each workshop.

Workshops will be delivered in English. If you need a translator, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

We can reimburse travel costs—please let us know in advance if this is something you require.

There are 15 spaces available, allocated on a first come, first served basis. We aim for participants to attend all 10 workshops and the festival in September.

Workshops take place on Thursdays, 10.30am – 12.30pm starting from 18 June until 3 September (excluding 23 July and 6 August)
