The Talking Drum: Voices from the Andover Estate
The Talking Drum: Voices from the Andover Estate opens soon at Park Theatre. This powerful new play uses the real words and stories of residents of Islington’s Andover Estate. It is an urgent and deeply personal counter-narrative to the decades of negative media portrayal that the estate has been subject to.
Created from interviews conducted over three years by the team at the London Metropolitan University, this production has been developed from those interviews and the lived experience of the estate residents.
