Love Parks Weeks 2026
Love Parks Week is a nationwide campaign celebrating green spaces, running from 24 July to 2 August. Islington Council is marking the week with free, family-friendly outdoor activities, such as tree walks, youth nature workshops and more across their 127 green spaces.
Wray Crescent Festival

Summer intergenerational event

Come and meet new people, enjoy the sing-along and listen to music. Nature crafts and animal encounters with Zoolab.
Tree walk
Wednesday 29 July, 2-3pm

Join a Tree Officer to explore the trees of Gillespie Park.
Making bug hotels
Thursday 30 July, 1-3pm

Islington guided walks

Gentle paced walks through Gillespie Park, with expert local history guides. Meet at the Islington Ecology Centre.
The Clocktower Festival
Sunday 2 August, 12-6pm

Bringing residents together for a day of fun experiences, community connection and celebrating the varied activities our park has to offer. Arts and crafts, health and wellbeing, music, physical activity, and the Dog Zone!
