Youth safety events: Easter
After the launch of the new Youth Safety Strategy, Islington Council met with local children and young people to create a programme of exciting activities for all ages to develop confidence, feel safe and get advice and support this spring. All activities are free and include workshops, an escape room, sports, a cooking challenge, a film night, connecting with nature, gaming and more.
Football Tournament / Safety Workshops

Monday night football
Monday nights throughout April and May, 8-10pm
Barnard Park football pitch, Copenhagen Street, N1
The Copenhagen Youth Project invite young people aged 16–25 from across Islington and Camden to take part in a 10‑week community football league, offering regular competitive matches for groups who don’t usually have access to formal sport.

Positive Citizens

The Underground Youth Centre
Positive Citizens offers two fun, hands on activity days for young people aged 8–13, featuring positive message bracelet making in Paradise Park and a trip to the Castle Climbing Centre and Woodberry Wetlands to explore safety and caring for the local environment.

A two‑day programme for young people aged 15–21, featuring workshops on knife‑crime awareness, mental health and employment pathways, followed by an indoor 6‑a‑side football tournament.
